[Remember me] also to the church [that meets] in their house. (Romans 16:5)
The early church did not meet in cathedrals but in houses. Of course, meeting in cathedrals and auditoriums is not wrong but the church can also start in the house.
The first church began in a home on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2). Other early churches also met in homes. For example, Aquila and Priscilla held church meetings in their home (1 Corinthians 16:19). A church also met in the home of Philemon (Philemon 1:2). Multiple house churches in Rome are mentioned in Romans 16.
Greet my tribal kinsman Herodion, and those in the Lord who belong to the household of Narcissus. (Romans 16:11)
In Greek mythology, he was the son of the river god Cephissus and nymph Liriope. He was proud, in that he disdained those who loved him. This scripture clearly tells us that Apostle Paul did not change the names of converts even though they had mythological names.
Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brethren who are with them. (Romans 16:14) Hermes is an Olympian god in Greek religion and mythology, the son of Zeus. Hermes was considered the emissary and messenger of the gods. Hermes was the name of a Greek god and here Paul is writing his name in scripture
Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. (Romans 16:17)
Paul did not say to avoid contact with people who simply had different doctrines. He said to avoid those who caused division and offenses over doctrine.
I, Tertius, the writer of this letter, greet you in the Lord. (Romans 16:22)
The name Tertius is of Latin origin and means "third" (Strong's Concordance). This is the only mention of Tertius in Scripture. Apostle Paul dictated the letter which was then penned by Tertius.
But is now disclosed and through the prophetic Scriptures is made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, [to win them] to obedience to the faith (Romans 16:26)
How do you grow in the prophetic? You read the word, study the word and the prophetic impartation rubs on you. The scriptures are prophetic.
