(Lord Jesus Christ) who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, (Galatians 1:4 NKJV)

For everything there is a purpose. So also Lord Jesus gave Himself up on the cross for a purpose.

· He gave Himself for our sins
· That He might deliver us from this present evil age.

Notice that Apostle Paul did not say Jesus gave Himself for our sins to deliver us from the evil world to come but from the “this present evil world.” That means that our salvation is effectual in this life, too, not just in the one to come. The supreme sacrifice of Lord Jesus is not only useful in your after life, but it is effective even today.

Many have relegated all the benefits of salvation to “when we all get to heaven.” But that’s not so. Through the atonement of Jesus, we have been delivered from

· Sickness and disease
· Poverty
· demonic control
· as well as sin
….in this present life

a).Through the atonement of Jesus, we have been delivered from sickness
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
“He Himself took our infirmities
And bore our sicknesses.” (Matthew 8:17)

b).Through the atonement of Jesus, we have been delivered from poverty
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9)

c).Through the atonement of Jesus, we have been delivered from demonic control.
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19)

I was in a service in Chembur, Mumbai and there was a young boy around 23 or 24. Nothing was going right in his life. He was totally delivered from demonic power. This happened not because I am something special but solely because of the sacrifice of Lord Jesus.

We have called this service New Beginnings. God is surely going to give you a new slate and a new beginning in Jesus name. Receive it!

Now, to the degree we believe these truths is the degree you will begin to experience the physical benefits of your salvation today and in the now.

One lady wrote to me, in my house I see shadows moving in my house. I told her to command the evil to leave the house in Jesus name. After two days she called me and told when the shadows came, I told the shadows to go away in Jesus name. The next day itself, the shadows didn’t come back.

You don’t need titles to see the manifestation of His presence in your life, you just need to believe in the word of God.

Shifting Jesus in the Past or in the Future

The big problem is that we usually shift Jesus in the past or in the future. God is saying I want to work for you in the present.

Lord Jesus met Martha and Mary at the grave of their brother Lazarus. He asked Martha, “Do you believe that your brother will live?” She said, “Yes Lord, I believe he will live in the last day” Lord Jesus told Martha and Mary saying, “I am the resurrection and the life” and He was present right there before them.

We believe that that Jesus worked in the past and we have hope that Jesus will work for us in the future. Remember, real faith is in the present – in the Now.

Doubting Whether it is the Will of God

Many doubt saying, “is it really the will of God to deliver me from this sickness, poverty and demonic trouble that I am going through?

Take a look at Galatians 1:4 again

(Lord Jesus Christ) who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, (Galatians 1:4 NKJV)

It is the will of our God and Father that we be delivered from this present evil world, or the evil that is in the world. (sin, sickness, poverty and demonic control)

Why the Wilderness Experience then?

We have heard many times about how God led the children of Israel in the wilderness; and we get the idea that the “wilderness experience” was to perfect them or make them stronger. That’s not true.

Even Apostle Peter writes,

So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. (1 Peter 5:10 NLT)

While it is true that suffering has a place in our life but it is not the will of God that you keep on suffering. God in His mercy will restore, support and strengthen you. He will surely establish you.

Let me put it this way. How many parents sitting here, want their children to learn life lessons only through suffering. Not one! I have seen poorest fathers bless their daughters with their best in their poverty. So how much more God then.

The wilderness did not make them stronger. It did not perfect their faith. It was not the will of God that they be in the wilderness all those years. God’s will for them was to get them out of the wilderness as fast as possible. How do I know that? You see the journey from Egypt to the promised land was only 11 days but it took them 40 years to reach the promised land. The problem was their mind-set. They had a childish mind-set.

Many Christians are yet to graduate from babyhood. They are not childish in physique but in mind. They cannot harness the power of God’s will to do right. They allow their lives to be driven by emotions. They are influenced by what they see, what they hear and what they feel. Such people cannot think of being successful. They lack discipline. They are childish at heart.

Let me quickly explain,

Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all (Galatians 4:1 NKJV)

Note that he says an ‘Heir’! He is master and Lord of all. His father has given him the right to all he left behind. He has the title-deed. He has all things credited to him but as long as he is a child, he is just like the servant. His childish state does not permit or enable him to enjoy the pleasure of things that rightly belong to him.

Prophetic Word

This year the Lord is going to make a difference between His people and the people of the world. You see, before God can show up in Egypt, Lord says I will make a difference between Goshen and Egypt.

One of your rights as a son of God is understanding His leadings, without which you may as well be regarded as a child in the spirit realm, not a son. One of the hallmarks of sonship is the ability to be led by the Spirit of God.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (Romans 8:14)

Therefore, until you grow into sonship, you do not differ from a sinner, and you will suffer the same confusions, the same frustrations as they do. Have you not heard people tell you, you believe in Jesus, go to church and yet I don’t see anything different in your life. You are going through the same struggles that I am going through.

The realisation of God’s ultimate plan and purpose for you depends on your maturity. Until you develop into sonship, the dominion God has reserved for you will never materialize. Remember the prophecy about Jesus in Isaiah 9:6 Until He became a Son, the government could not be placed upon His shoulder.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

You don’t put the government upon a child, but upon the son.

The Father did not speak until Jesus matured (was of 30 years of age). It was then that the Father’s voice was heard saying, “this is my Son in whom I am well pleased.” Notice, the Father did not say, “this is my child in whom I am well pleased”

Luke 2:52 says, Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in the favour of God and men.

This is what you need to do in this year, grow in wisdom of God and you will find favour with God and man.

Confession (Say)

In 2018, I will not be a child, I will become a Son.

When you walk in maturity, you will see the manifestation of every blessing (as you are the heir of everything)

Sonship has been provided for us freely through Christ, but it doesn’t happen automatically. We have to renew our minds (Romans 12:2) to take advantage of this blessed relationship.

You have to develop your mindset, where you can handle your blessings. When you develop that mindset, you will not fall. In this year, complete reading your Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Remember, before God can work through you, He will work in you.
