The Gift Of Grace

"Of this Gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God which was given to me by the effective working of His power." (Ephesians 3:7)

Think about the last time someone gave you a gift. Did you have to earn or pay for it? Of course not. A true gift is given freely because the giver wants to give it.

That is exactly what God's grace is. It is His gift to us.

The person giving the gift decides when to give it, whom to give it to, and how to give it. The receiver doesn't earn it; they simply receive it. In the same way, God's grace is not something we work for. It is something He freely gives because of His love.

Grace Is Free

Many people believe they have to be "good enough" before God will bless them. They think they need to pray more, serve more, or live a perfect life before they deserve His favour.

But that is not how grace works.

Grace is God's unearned favour. It is not a reward for good behaviour. If it could be earned, it would no longer be a gift.

This does not mean our actions are unimportant. Rather, it means God's love and grace toward us do not begin because of our performance. They begin because of His goodness.

The Source of Grace

Where does grace come from?

The Apostle Paul gives us the answer. He says grace comes through the working of God's power.

In other words, grace does not depend on your strength. It depends on God's strength.

When you feel weak, God is still powerful.
When you don't know what to do, He already has the answer.
When you reach the end of your ability, His power is still at work.

That is why grace never runs out. It flows from a God whose power has no limits.

Grace Makes the Difference

There are moments in life when your own ability is simply not enough. You may need wisdom for a difficult decision, strength to keep going, patience to wait on God, or courage to face an impossible situation.

This is where grace steps in.

Grace is God's supernatural help. It gives you the strength to do what you could never accomplish by yourself. It enables you to trust Him when life is uncertain, to stand firm when others give up, and to experience His peace even in the middle of storms.

Grace does not make life free from challenges, but it gives you the ability to overcome them.

Live by His Grace

God has made His grace available to every believer. The only way to receive it is by trusting Him. Faith opens the door to what grace has already provided.

If you have been struggling, feeling discouraged, or trying to carry every burden on your own, remember this: God never intended you to live by your own strength.

His grace is enough for every challenge, every season, and every need.

So today, stop depending only on your own ability. Place your confidence in God's endless grace. As you trust Him, you will discover that His grace is more than a blessing—it is the power that enables you to live the victorious life He has prepared for you.
