Four Essentials of Worship-1

I. We worship God with our time
Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh day shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of rest to the Lord. (Exodus 35:2)

If you ask someone, “how’s life?” most likely, they will reply, “I am busy”.
If you are not careful, this busyness can creep into our relationship with the Lord as well.

We need to worship God with our time. How do we do that?
1. By acknowledging the fact that time is a gift from God.
2. Know that our time on this earth is limited compared to eternity. Hence, we must live wisely and intentionally in order to accomplish what God has called us to do.

The Psalmist acknowledged this fact and said:
But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord;
I say, “You are my God.”
My times are in Your hand (Psalm 31:14-15)

To worship God with our time, we must learn to make time for Him. Freeing time involves learning to use the time available effectively. You must daily pray the following prayer:

O Lord, teach me to number my days,
That I may gain a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:12)

II. Worship involves giving our best
God Almighty, being entirely self-sufficient requires no gift from us to sustain Him in any way.
“…human hands can’t serve His needs—for He has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and He satisfies every need” (Acts 17:25 NLT)

When the wise men from the east came to worship Lord Jesus, “they bowed down and worshipped Him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” (Matthew 2:11)

Clearly, worship and giving go hand in hand. Giving is an expression of worship.

When the Philippian church members gave their money to support the ministry of Apostle Paul, God viewed it as a “sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to Him. (Philippians 4:18).
Confession
I will exalt the LORD my God and worship at His footstool, for He is Holy. (Psalm 99:5)
