The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
And he who wins souls is wise. (Proverbs 11:30)
A young boy was walking on a road planning to commit suicide. Suddenly, out of the blue, another young man came walking alongside him. He started sharing his testimony on how his life had changed after following Lord Jesus Christ. Intrigued by this, this young boy went to the service he invited him to.
The service was held in a very small room, and there were very few people, but that did not stop the Holy Spirit from touching this young man. So that night, the Lord touched this young man, and all his thoughts of suicide disappeared. Do you want to know who this young man is – It’s me.
I always imagine sometimes, “what if this boy did not tell me about Jesus? Where would I be now?”
It is so easy to get absorbed in our own interests that we lose sight of eternity and the perishing souls around us.
One way to win souls is to share your testimony with the people around you. Every day ask God for opportunities to share what God has done in your life with others. No matter how small your testimony, it carries the power of God to bring people into His Kingdom.
Another way to win souls is to be willing to give of your time, talent, and treasure to spread the gospel.
If you have led someone to the Lord, do not leave them on their own to find the right way to grow. Encourage them to read their Bible. Invite them, or direct them to a good church that is near them to hear more of what the Bible teaches. (Read Matthew 28:19-20) In today’s times, you could invite them to watch Online services.
Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for making me a soul winner. Empower me by Your Spirit to win souls into Your kingdom. I thank you for entrusting me with the gospel of salvation. Amen
