On that same day [when] evening had come, He said to them, Let us go over to the other side [of the lake]. (Mark 4:35 AMPC)
The fundamental message is that Lord Jesus desires for you to progress and elevate yourself to the next level in your life. Remaining stagnant is not the goal; instead, growth and continuous improvement are key. Whether you are a business person or a salaried individual. God wants you to reach new heights and unlock your full potential. In your walk with God, He encourages you to delve deeper and soar higher. Today, embrace the opportunity to explore and discover the other side.
Take note of Jesus' words, "Let us go." He does not intend for you to embark on this journey alone but rather seeks to accompany you every step of the way. Jesus is not a distant teacher who merely observes from afar; He actively participates in your life, offering guidance, support, and love. He is not a general who commands his soldiers to march into battle while he stands on the sidelines. Instead, Jesus is by your side, fighting alongside you in every battle you face.
Similarly, if you are part of a family that is experiencing challenges or difficulties, it is time to work together and move towards the other side.
The Process Of Getting To The Next Level
And leaving the throng, they took Him with them, [just] as He was, in the boat [in which He was sitting]. And other boats were with Him. (Mark 4:36 AMPC)
In the passage from Mark 4:36 (AMPC), it is noted that they left the multitude and took Jesus with them as they set sail on their boat. Other boats accompanied them on their journey as well. This serves as a crucial reminder that, in order to progress to the other side and fulfil the calling God has placed upon your life, it is necessary to separate yourself from the crowd.
Embracing God's purpose for you might mean foregoing certain social events, parties, or late-night gatherings. Instead, it's important to surround yourself with people who share the same vision and passion burning within your heart. To successfully advance and follow Jesus' path, it may be essential to leave some friends or acquaintances behind. This process can be challenging and painful, but it is a necessary step to propel your personal growth, your company, or your organisation to the next level.
The difficult truth is that to move forward with Jesus and pursue the vision He has placed within you; some relationships may need to be left behind. If you fail to do this, those individuals might hinder your progress or even drag you down to their level. Therefore, it is crucial to be discerning in your relationships and prioritise those that encourage your spiritual growth and align with God's plan for your life.
And as if this was not painful enough, here is something more. "And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat so that it was already becoming filled." (Mark 4:37 AMPC)
Whenever you decide to step out of your comfort zone and move towards the place God wants you to be, you will likely encounter storms along the way. I once had a conversation with a pilot who shared an insightful analogy. I asked him about the speed at which commercial airlines fly, and he replied that they usually fly at around Mach 0.75. When I inquired about why they don't fly faster, he explained that going beyond Mach 0.75 would bring the plane closer to breaking the sound barrier, which would create immense air pressure against the aircraft.
He went on to describe the Concorde plane, which was designed to fly faster than the speed of sound. When the Concorde reached such high speeds, it would produce a sonic boom – a powerful sound created by the plane's shock waves.
Here's the insight: When you're operating at the "normal" speed, it's easy to coexist with those around you. It's like flying with the crows, exchanging pleasantries and maintaining the status quo. However, when you push yourself to reach new heights and accelerate your progress, you may find that challenges arise and storms brew.
The moment you decide to build your dream house or elevate your lifestyle, you might face opposition or obstacles, such as the local authorities or even complaints from neighbours. When you strive to reach the next level, be prepared to confront the storms that come with growth.
This concept applies to various aspects of life:
- When you want to grow in the anointing, you may face storms.
- When you want to expand your business, you may encounter storms.
- When you aim to improve your physical fitness, external factors might test your resolve.
As long as you're content to fly with the crows and walk with the goats, you may never face significant problems or opposition. However, when you decide to elevate yourself and follow the path God has laid out for you, be prepared to confront and overcome the storms that accompany growth and progress.
Confession
My next level is not negotiable; I move forward by fire in the Name of Jesus. I destroy every demonic agenda against my next level, in the Name of Jesus.
