Purpose
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. (Psalm 139:14)
God created every human being on this earth to accomplish something specific that no one else can accomplish. It is crucial for you to understand this truth.
You and I were designed to be known for something special. You and I are meant to do something that will make us unforgettable. You and I were born to do something that the world will not be able to ignore.
The Bible records little acts of seemingly ordinary people that made the world stand up and take notice. One example is Rahab, the prostitute, who risked her life for people she didn’t even know. She was born to hide Joshua’s spies so that the Israelites could defeat Jericho. (See Joshua 2, 6)
This was a prophetic act of intercession. You, too, could be part of the intercession team. You could intercede for me daily. I know this may sound dull and not glamorous, but it has great value in God’s eyes.
According to Matthew’s genealogy (Matthew 1:5), Rahab later married a man from Judah, and she became the mother of Boaz. Do you know that Rahab was in the lineage of our Lord Jesus? Now that’s what I call grace.
In the New Testament, we read the story of a woman who took an alabaster flask of perfume and anointed Jesus’ head with it.
This woman was bold enough to go beyond the social traditions of the day by interrupting a group of men who had gathered for a meal. Yet she decided to pour out her life in gratitude to Jesus, no matter what the consequences.
Some of those present severely criticized her because she had “wasted” costly perfume on Jesus when it could have been sold for charitable purposes. Yet Jesus said to them, “Leave her alone...I tell you the truth, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her” (Mark 14:6, 9).
No matter how small an act may be, if you put your whole life into it, it won’t be forgotten. Heaven will honour you for it.

Confession
I will delight myself in the Lord, and He shall give me the desires of my heart. In Christ, I am the head and not the tail.
