The Power of the Seed - 3

1 To everything, there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
2 A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
8 A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)

Today is the third instalment in our series on “The Power of the Seed”. I hope you are learning and applying these divine truths in your life.

Today we take a look at the 5th seed.

5. Time
Time is the currency of earth. There is no sense of time in heaven. Whatever you see around you, you have traded time for it. I heard a friend say, “I wish I could lose these extra kilos of weight, but I really don’t find time to exercise.”

Now, that very evening my friend watched a movie on Netflix for two hours. He was willing to exchange his time for entertainment, but not for a healthy body. I hope you get the point of what I am trying to say.

This tells me whatever you do not possess right now, it could be because of an unwillingness to sow the seed of time to produce.

What sets apart the average and the excellent is the management of time. Long ago, I made a decision never to hire a person who does not value time. A person’s indifferent attitude towards time as a seed would be disastrous to them as well as the people around them.

Time is the most precious seed we have been given in this life. When we are unwilling to protect, cherish, and celebrate time as a seed, we are deliberately setting ourselves up for failure.

On whatever level God has called you, there will always be a seed time. If you neglect this seed time, you are limiting your future. The good news is everyone on this earth has been assigned seed time. The proper utilization of seedtime can make a jungle a paradise. It may be a relationship or a struggling business, it will surely take off when you invest seed time into it.

Father, I ask You for discernment to recognize my seed time. I pray for the right attitude. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
