Receiving by Faith

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

Everything that we receive from God comes by faith. Today, I want to share three powerful keys to receiving by faith from God.

Key#1
1.We must genuinely, sincerely believe that He exists. Today the world around us constantly denies God. We must not buy that lie. The Bible clearly says: “ The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." (Psalm 19:1)

Secondly, we have seen God in His miraculous intervention in the lives of men and women throughout history and in the lives of people around us.

Ruth was a Moabite widow. Initially, she did not believe in the God of Israel. However, in spite of her deep loss and pain, she believed in the Lord and made Him her God. (Ruth 1:16). You must have gone through deep pain and loss. Don’t let the devil lie to you that God does not exist. Don’t allow that pain and loss to take you away from the Lord. Instead cling on to Him more.

Key#2
2.God is a rewarder of those that seek Him diligently

Ruth diligently followed the Lord. She turned away from Moab to Bethlehem (meaning the House of Bread) – the House of God.

The Lord was so pleased with the faith of Ruth though being a Gentile woman who had lost everything that He not only blessed her in her lifetime, but He also put her into the lineage of His Son, Lord Jesus Christ. The same can happen to you.

Key#3
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord (James 1:6-7)

I want you to look at the phrase: “Receive Anything” Anything includes healing, deliverance, prosperity etc. In other words, anything includes all things.

The key to receiving directly from the Lord is “asking in faith”

Now at first, you may not see immediate results but as you put the word into practice by asking, your spiritual muscles will develop and you will begin to see the “anything” manifest in your life.

This is how great men and women of faith developed their faith and so can you and I.

Many years ago, I heard the great man of God D.G.S Dhinakaran quote it from the Amplified Bible. Keep on asking and it will be given to you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)

If you carefully notice, the original translation says, “Keep on asking and it will be given to you”. Many ask for a day or two and wrap it all up. Ask and keep on asking, it will surely be given to you.

Heavenly Father, forgive my unbelief. Give me Your grace and power to diligently seek You all the days of my life. You are my reward. I worship You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
