The Bible makes us realize that as we have been saved by believing and confessing Christ as Lord, we are born of God (1 John 5:1).
It, therefore, means we have the nature of God in us. And by virtue of being born of God, we have the God-kind nature of love. Therefore, it is natural for a child of God to love, just as it is natural for a dog to bark. You get the point!
“...the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Romans 5:5) This is not the world’s kind of love; this is the God-kind of Love. The Bible clearly states it further in 2 Timothy 1:7 that the kind of Spirit we have been given is the Spirit of Love.
Therefore, we are not just human beings; we are “Love beings”. Love is our nature. It is our “default mode”. Hence, we are able to love other people expressly if only we will give expression to this nature of ours. Yes, in life, there are several situations where it is not so easy to love people. People could hurt us so much that it deeply gets into our hearts. However, in all, God is able to help us to love, no matter what. That is why He has given us His nature and enabling to help us love as we ought to.
You see, though a puppy has the inherent ability to bark just like an adult dog, we do not expect the puppy to start barking immediately after it is born. However, as the puppy begins to grow, it can begin to exhibit this ability. In the same manner, while we have the Love nature of God in us, we need to give expression to it. As we grow much more and walk closely with God, we will get better at it.
It is not enough that we have the God-kind of Love; the onus is on us to show it forth and thereby let God be glorified through our lives. I encourage you kindly keep it in remembrance to let the nature of God’s love within you find expression. Let others be blessed as you manifest your God-kind of Love. You will not be perfect at it suddenly but remember, “the journey of a thousand miles starts with a step”. Start from where you are today, and God will help you.
Every person will know by this that you are my disciples if you show love for one another (John 13:35). Think about the impact your life will make wherever you go.

Prayer
Father, I thank You for I am born of You. I appreciate You because You have given me your Love nature. I pray that I am able to give maximum expression to this God-kind of Love in me. Help me to love other people as I ought to, such that Your name is greatly glorified through me, in Jesus’ name.
