Anyone who follows Jesus must make sure that discipleship is a priority. Scriptures clearly teach us that there is a cost involved in following Jesus (the Pearl of great price).
28For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— 29 lest, after he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish? 31Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace.33So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. (Luke 14:28-33)
There are some that falsely teach that now there is no need of paying the price anymore. Yes! Salvation is free, and we can do nothing to earn our salvation. However, Apostle Paul clearly said, “Work out your salvation..” (Philippians 2:12)
We do this by actively pursuing obedience in the process of sanctification. He describes himself as “straining” and “pressing on” toward the goal of Christlikeness (Philippians 3:13-14).
As a little boy, there was a science fiction series I used to watch on TV sometimes. It was called ‘Star Trek’, and I used to often wonder in amazement, how these people travelled so far and deep into space. Recently, I was thinking about it and thought to myself; we need to travel far into the spiritual realm, exploring it; because there is much to be seen, heard, and experienced.
There are such amazing revelations in the realm of the spirit, but we need to pay the price to access them. Apostle Paul was wise enough and spent time accessing the deeper realms of the Spirit in the deserts of Arabia after his initial encounter with the Lord. (Galatians 1:7)
There are more prophetic words, more spiritual songs, greater anointing and gifts of the spirit and more accurate plans and strategies waiting to be received at the Throne of Grace.
Luke 1:37 says, “For with God nothing will be impossible.” Notice, it does not say “to God nothing will be impossible,” It says, ‘with God nothing will be impossible”. So this means that to those who walk with God, nothing shall be impossible. (Luke 1:37) What we need is a trek in the spiritual realm. We need to boldly venture out far into the realms of the Holy Spirit and manifest those deeper realms of the Glory of God. Will you heed the call?

Prayer
Father, as for me and my household, we have counted the cost. Help us venture into the deeper realms of Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
