Are you one of those that get easily hurt and offended? Ten people could tell you all the good work you are doing, but if only one person says a negative word, you end up depressed for days. Living your life in this manner will make you miserable and leave you more vulnerable to the demonic realm. You are not a puppet in the hands of those that spoke those negative words.
Living like this will rob you of your God-given potential. Opportunities may lie right in front of you, but you may not take hold of them, being fearful of what others may say or think about you. Being emotionally weak is like a wasting disease.
Now you need to understand that being emotionally strong is not the same as acting tough – the two are completely different. Sometimes tough-acting people are the most emotionally vulnerable, and I am sure you have seen this being proved right time and again.
There lived a great man of God in South India who was used mightily by the Lord. One day, he was lying in hospital, in the ICU. In his pain, he cried out to the Lord and said, “Lord, I have served you faithfully; why then am I going through all this. I am tired, Lord; please help me.”
The Lord appeared to him in a vision and said, “My son, I have given you my gifts and power, and thousands are turning to me through your ministry. Thousands love you and appreciate you. However, there are a few that are jealous of you and your ministry and speak ill about you. You have forgotten the thousands that love, pray and support you. Instead, you have chosen to focus your mind and emotions on the few that you can literally count on your fingers.
This has opened a door of bitterness for the enemy to enter into your life and play havoc with your health and emotions.” The man of God asked the Lord to forgive him and went on to powerful ministry for many years after that.
So then, don’t allow the negative comments of a few to take off your focus from the important things of life. Don’t allow them to distort your focus and make you paint the wrong picture of life, people, and God. Focus on the right things, focus on the good things and start from there.
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (Philippians 4:8 ESV)
Furthermore, ”… when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, He will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22, 23 NLT)
When these nine qualities are present in us, we can be sure that we will see things the way God wants us to see them.

Ignore the negativity and focus on what God has called you to do. Don’t get distracted by the noise of some jealous folk.
