Dedicating a New Born Baby

Glorious Heavenly Father,

I thank You, that (name of baby) is a heritage from You O Lord, the fruit of the womb - your reward to (name of parents).



Today, I commit this child into your care, confident and knowing  You are able to finish the work that You have begun in (name of child) life. May this child grow in wisdom and stature and with favour with God and man. May Your favour surround him as a shield always.



Give (names of parents) the grace and resources to train up (name of child) in the way he/she should go and when he/she is old he/she will not depart from your ways. Bless this child and make him/her a blessing to many.



I decree and declare that (name of child) shall be taught by the Lord and great shall be his/her peace. In righteousness he/she shall be established. He/she shall be far from oppression and fear. You shall give Your angels charge over this child and his/her parents to keep them and guard them in all their ways.
