The Karuna Sadan Ministries (KSM) church picnic for all Mumbai branches was held on the 6th and 7th of September 2024 at Green Hills Resort, Nallasopara. The 7th of September was a public holiday, making it the perfect time for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.
Group Supervisor Wilson Cruz, along with Admin Manager Mehak Dhamija and a few KSM staff members, arrived early at the venue to prepare everything in advance.
There was also a bus organised to make travelling easier.
Around 152 members had registered for the picnic, and they began checking in around 6 p.m. on Friday. They were warmly welcomed with a delicious serving of Poha and a cup of hot tea, perfect for the cool, drizzly weather.
Dinner was served around 9 pm., and afterwards, Pastor Michael and Pastor Anita officially welcomed everyone, beginning with a heartfelt prayer session. This was followed by a series of team-building games, which sparked so much laughter and excitement that no one wanted to leave the main hall, even though it was getting quite late.
The following day (Saturday) began with a hearty breakfast at 8:30 am.
After breakfast, Pastor Michael led the people in a powerful prayer session that deeply touched many attendees.
Following the prayer, another round of team-building games took place, with all 152 attendees divided into four groups. The games fostered joy and interaction, with the atmosphere so lively that people nearly forgot about lunch! There was also a spontaneous praise party, with everyone dancing to gospel music, creating a sense of unity and celebration. Several participants testified that they hadn’t laughed or had so much fun in years. Prizes were later awarded to the winners of the games.
A wholesome lunch followed, and after that, those interested in hitting the pool and water slides enjoyed some fun in the water. Meanwhile, Pastor Michael conducted a profound Bible study on the end times, revealing insights he had never shared before. Although he tried to conclude the session, the attendees were so captivated by the depth of the study that they begged him to continue.
After the Bible study, it was time for pool activities once again, creating a wonderful moment of bonding among the participants. Getting people out of the pool proved challenging, but a hot cup of chai and biscuits was enough to entice them.
Finally, it was time to say goodbye, though no one was eager to leave. Several attendees shared testimonies of how blessed they were and how much they had enjoyed the experience.
It was truly a refreshing and memorable time, with moments that everyone will cherish for a long time.
