No Lack

Lord Jesus tells a powerful story in Luke 15:11–14 about a young man who asked his father for his share of the inheritance. Shortly after receiving it, he left home and went to a far country, where he wasted everything in careless living.

While he was in his father’s house, he had everything. There was no lack, no struggle, no shortage.

But the moment he moved away from the father, his life began to change.

At first, he had plenty. But soon, everything ran out. Then came a famine. And suddenly, he found himself in great need.

This is a spiritual principle:
Distance from the Father always leads to lack.

The Place of No Lack
David understood this deeply. That is why he wrote:
“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1)

David did not say, “I have no problems.”
He said, “I shall not lack.”
Why?
Because as long as the Lord was leading him like a shepherd leads his sheep, David knew he would always be provided for.

A sheep does not worry about food. It simply follows the shepherd.

In the same way, when we follow the Lord closely, He takes responsibility for our needs.

Seeking God Brings Provision
David writes again:
“The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.” (Psalm 34:10)

Even strong lions can go hungry. Strength alone cannot guarantee provision.

But those who seek the Lord those who stay close to Him are promised that they will not lack any good thing.

This shows us that provision is not about strength, intelligence, or effort alone.
It is about connection with God.

God’s Presence: Obed-Edom
There is another powerful example in the Bible Obed-Edom.
He was not a famous man. Not a king. Not a warrior.
But one day, the ark of the covenant the symbol of God’s presence was placed in his house.

For three months, the presence of God remained there.
And what happened?

The Lord blessed Obed-Edom and his entire household so much that even King David heard about it.

This teaches us a powerful truth:
Where God’s presence is, blessing follows.

Secret for End Times
In these times, when there is uncertainty, lack, and instability in the world, we must understand this secret:

God’s presence is our greatest provision.

The prodigal son lost everything when he moved away.
Obed-Edom gained everything when God’s presence came near.

The difference is simple—presence.

Today, more than ever, we must stay close to the Lord.
  • Seek Him daily
  • Walk with Him
  • Depend on Him
When you remain in His presence, lack will not have the final say in your life.

Because where God is:
  • There is provision
  • There is protection
  • There is peace
  • And there is no lack.
