Chapter 2

Book / 26 / 169 chapter - 2
2485
…..and his spirit was so troubled that his sleep left him. (Daniel 2:1)

If the human spirit is troubled a loss of sleep results

The Bible often equates insomnia with worry (Daniel 2:1), anxiety, or sin (Proverbs 4:14–16). The insomnia itself is not the sin, but the reasons for it may be.

For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people, 12 To whom He said, "This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest," And, "This is the refreshing"; Yet they would not hear. (Isaiah 28:11-12)

Praying in tongues can calm down the human spirit

Worshiping the Lord calms down the human spirit

For this reason the king was angry and very furious, and gave a command to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. (Daniel 2:12)

Persecution revealed who really were the wise men

Persecution will reveal who are the true servants of God

Then Daniel went to his house, and made the decision known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions, that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. (Daniel 2:17-18)

They prayed together. This was the prayer of agreement. "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20)

There is power in praying together. Deuteronomy says of God’s army that ‘one man (could) chase a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight’ (32:30). There is a multiplied effect in being together before God. It was the corporate prayer of Acts 1:14 that produced the corporate power of Acts 2:42-47.

Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face, prostrate before Daniel, and commanded that they should present an offering and incense to him. (Daniel 2:46)

Kings will fall prostrate before men that know their God. If you have been falling on your face instead of kings falling on their face before us is because we do not know our God. It was the Prophetic that made the king fall on his face. God is raising a prophetic army in these end times.
