21 Days Fast: Day 17

Just as oil in the natural can dry up and fade away, so can the anointing fade and diminish in us if it is not properly supplied.

Fresh fellowship with the Holy Spirit will produce fresh oil. We need to talk directly to Him, not just about Him.

As dead flies cause even a bottle of perfume to stink, so a little foolishness spoils great wisdom and honour (Ecclesiastes 10:1 NLT)

Psalm 92:10-15 But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil. My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies; My ears hear my desire on the wicked who rise up against me. The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

7 Things the Anointing will do for us:

1. Mine eye . . . shall see.

The anointing will give us a new vision. We need God’s vision to establish goals and fulfil our destiny in the Kingdom. The Bible tells us that without a vision, my people perish (Proverbs 29:18).

2. Mine ears shall hear.

The anointing will open your ears so that you can hear God’s voice.

3. The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree.

Palm trees have deep roots that search out the water in desert places. If we take the time to develop a deep relationship with the Holy Spirit, it will be like “a well of water springing up into everlasting life” (John 4:14). This anointing will bring confidence that you can flourish and bear fruit no matter where you are planted.

4. He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

Cedars have a long life. There are principles in the Kingdom that if we observe them, it will bring length of days, riches and honour.

5. Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

It is God’s desire that we bring forth much fruit and that our fruit should remain. This requires dedication and patience to commit to the task we are given and the place to which we are called. The reason so many never bore fruit is simply that they run from commitment and fear the rejection of failure.

6. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age

As God prospers us through the anointing, we will live longer and be more fruitful.

7. To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

The anointing will bring purity to your life.

Keep repeating every prayer missile till it comes from your heart. Only then move on to the next prayer missile.

Father, I surrender every area of my life to you now in Jesus’ name.

(Please spend some quality time on this prayer point. Begin to surrender those areas, especially where you have encountered failure, defeat etc.)

Sing any song to the Holy Spirit (lift your hands and close your eyes as you do this)

Fire of the Holy Spirit fall upon my family members and me in the name of Jesus (Spend at least two minutes on this prayer point)

Any root of idolatry and immorality in my foundation, be uprooted by the power in the Blood of Jesus.

I sprinkle the Blood of Jesus upon my family members and me in the name of Jesus (mention the name of your family members)

Let the light and fire of God dissolve every form of darkness around me and my family members in the name of Jesus.

Let the light and fire of God dissolve every form of darkness in my home and around my home in the name of Jesus. (Keep saying this till you experience something)

Pray in Tongues

At least for 10mins. You could do this even as you listen to a worship song. If you don’t have the gift of tongues, then spend time praising and worshipping him for 10mins.

Confessions (Say this aloud)

In the name of Jesus, I am filled with the Holy Spirit.

In the name of Jesus, I am moving in a fresh anointing.

In the name of Jesus, I am experiencing the promises of God.

In the name of Jesus, I am a visionary and a dreamer.

In the name of Jesus, I am able to call on the name of the Lord and be saved in every situation.

In the name of Jesus, I am anointed to be a blessing.
