Your Day Defines You

Each day is a snapshot of your life. How you spend your day, the things you do, the people you meet during the day reveal a lot about how your future will shape up. As you live your day, so you create your future.

Scripture also emphasizes the importance of ‘Daily’. Lord Jesus said, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. (Luke 9:23). Following Jesus is not a weekly, monthly, or yearly thing - it is a daily thing that we need to do.

Sing to the LORD, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. (Psalm 96:2)

Notice the phrase ‘day to day’. It simply means ‘daily’. We need to worship (sing to the Lord) on a daily basis. We also need to be a testimony of His work in our lives on a ‘daily’ basis and not just on a weekly or monthly basis.

There is no such thing as an unimportant day or a useless day. This is why the Bible says:
This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)
God will not force you to rejoice and be glad. It is our choice to rejoice and thank God for yet another day in our lives.

So you see, the secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine. Someone said, “Show me your daily routine, and I will tell you how far you will go.” Many top billionaires know this secret, and it is high time you and I get a hold of this.

Lord Jesus said, “do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. (Matthew 6:34)

Many are worried and anxious about how tomorrow might unfold. Lord Jesus reveals the secret of overcoming anxiety and worry by telling us to concentrate on our ‘today’. Today is the seed for tomorrow’s harvest. You may be a student, an executive, or a business person; If you can give today your best shot, your tomorrow will be taken care of.

One more thing: I heard a great man of God once say, “You must always build your daily agenda around your God-given dream.” So then schedule every appointment, everything you do, where you go, whom you meet accordingly. This is what I try and do. It may upset some people, but at the end of the day, you will please the one who called you.

(Say this every day) Today is the best day of my life. Today I will pray and worship like never before. Today I will experience the favour of God like never before. Today, I will see the power of God manifest through me like never before. Today I will meet my divine helpers. Today is a day of great rejoicing and gladness.
