Put Up a Fight

"But He answered and said, "Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted." (Matthew 15:13)

It may seem strange to some, but it is possible to have certain objects or items in your house that create an accursed atmosphere. For example, at times, individuals may bring an object home that was used in satanic rituals. Other things like pornography also may open the door to certain types of spirits. Sometimes an object may carry a curse that was placed on it.

The Knife from Egypt
On one of our tours to the Holy Land, Israel, we also happened to tour Egypt. While on tour, one of our members, without our knowledge, purchased a knife. He later told us since it was very old and had a very nice look to it, he decided to purchase it. When he returned home at night, he found himself being choked by a figure sitting on his chest. His wife, petrified, called me in the night and told me of the horror. 

The following day during the service, this man was delivered by the power of the Spirit. He later told me that this figure was shouting at him and asking, "Why did you kill me?" He threw away the knife, and those apparitions stopped. 

I realize these stories will sound odd and strange to many people reading this. However, spiritual warfare is not waged in the mind or imagination; it is very real. Apostle Paul wrote: "For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere." (Ephesians 6:12 Amplified)

You can't afford to be spiritually insensitive to the penetrating power of the powers of darkness. We are at war, and the enemy is targeting families. During the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001, the terrorist didn't bring down the building by blasting it with a hammer from the ground; that may take several years if the security didn't arrest them. So they went for a strategy that would bring one of the tallest buildings on earth down at one sweep. Likewise, the enemy is after the family because he knows that once the family is hit, society is hit as well. 

So, we need to work at defending the home. We need to put up a fight against the interference of the enemy against our homes. We can't afford to leave any demonic plantings in our home. We need to uproot them. We have unknowingly watered them for long; it's time to bring them down. It's time to root them out of our families and send them out for peace to reign. 

Pornography
This is another accursed thing that the enemy uses to gain command over our spiritual space. Gone are the days when you need to buy the film, but now it's all available online. You just need to search online, and you are live on a pornographic site. This is one of the corruptions that satan is using to separate marriages and wreak havoc on the destiny of young ones. It's time to say no. It's time to pray against this addiction and put up a fight against it. Turn off that TV, leave that site and let the devil know that you are not his puppet. You are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, so you are free.

Pray that God would build a wall of fire around your home against all the forces of darkness that stand to contend with His presence in your home. You are a victor, not a victim.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for opening our eyes to the truth of your word regarding the accursed thing. I pray that you open our eyes once again to see the devil's access point into our home. I pray that your mercy will deliver us from the hold of darkness and slavery of hell. I decree that we are free. In Jesus' name. Amen
