Scandalous Sin Needs Amazing Grace

God's grace given to us in the gospel of Jesus Christ is utterly amazing. We really do not deserve it.

Jesus, the Son of God, came down in human form, lived a perfect life. There was no reason for us humans to kill him, but we did. Scripture says, "He loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood" (Revelation 1:5). He then imparted His unconditional grace to us so that we could be His sons and daughters once again.

Perhaps nowhere else is a picture of God's grace seen more clearly than in the life of David. Jesus' lineage can be traced back to David. Jesus Himself was called the Son of David. Now that's amazing grace in action.

Maybe you decided to keep yourself pure and failed. Don't give up. I want you to look to the grace of God. There are things that you can never do in your strength. The Truth that I want you to see is if God redeemed David from sexual sin, he can redeem you too.

It is not through tips and techniques that one can be set free from the snares of sexual bondage but through God's amazing grace. God alone has the power to set us free.

God has promised us to give you all the grace you need to overcome sexual temptation:

And God is able to make all grace abound to you so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times; you may abound in every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)

So here's the thing that you need to do. Open your heart and tell him how you have messed up and need His help to overcome. Be sincere. I know this sounds pretty simple, but that's what makes it powerful.
