Intercession
Now will I sing to my well-beloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My well-beloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. (Isaiah 5:1-2 KJV)
Israel is God's vineyard. The church is God's vineyard. The result of the planting of the Lord should be fruitfulness. There are two things I want you to notice here.
1. The Lord put a fence around His vineyard.
2. He places a tower in the midst.
Why the fence and the tower?
The fence and the tower are necessary to keep the enemy out.
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. (John 15:16)
We have not been ordained only to bring forth fruit but for the fruit to remain. What good is to bear fruit if the fruit does not remain?
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10)
The enemy wants to destroy the fruit of families, homes, churches, ministries and organizations.
It is unwise to plant a vineyard without a fence. A fence provides a protective barrier for the vineyard. A tower is a place for the watchman. Vineyards need watchmen. Local churches need towers and watchmen to protect the vineyard. Organizations need watchmen.
For thus has the Lord said to me:
"Go, set a watchman,
Let him declare what he sees." (Isaiah 21:6)
Watchmen are prophetic intercessors. Now you see why intercession is so important.
Now a watchman stood on the tower in Jezreel, and he saw the company of Jehu as he came, and said, "I see a company of men." (2 King 9:17)
A watchman is one who stands guard. Ancient cities had watchmen stationed on the walls. A watchman doesn't just see and observe or hear; a watchman blows the trumpet. It was their responsibility.
The enemy comes disguised, but a spiritual watchman is vigilant and blows the trumpet and gives a sound so that family members can be quickly warned and not destroyed.
Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 "Son of man, speak to the children of your people and say to them: 'When I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from their territory and make him their watchman, 3 when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people, 4 then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand.' (Ezekiel 33:1-6)
Two watchmen are described here:
1. The diligent Watchman
2. The indifferent Watchman
God will hold the watchmen responsible
Vineyards and fields also had watchmen, especially during harvest. Their responsibility was to guard the produce from animals and thieves.
And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem and to hinder it. Nevertheless, we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night because of them. [Nehemiah 4:8-9]
The adversaries of Nehemiah came to hinder the building of the walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah is a picture of the apostolic ministry. Apostles are builders. Opposition to building and opposition to growth is to be expected. The strategy to overcome the adversaries was to set a watch against them day and night. Apostles and prophets should work together in the building of the church. Apostles need prophets who will assist them in building.
...all the people shall keep the watch of the LORD. (2 Chronicles 23:6)
All believers are commanded to watch.
Every Christian is called to be a spiritual watchman to some degree in his or her prayer life. It may be a watchman upon the walls of your family, or the walls of your church or your city, or God may entrust you with being a spiritual watchman on the walls of the nation.
Lord Jesus spoke of being a watchman.
Take heed, watch and pray, for you do not know when the time is. (Mark 13: 33)
Maybe you are called to be a Watchman for your family. Mothers, you are called by the Lord to be a watchman for your children and your spouse.
Prayer
Each prayer point must be prayed for at least 2 minutes and more.
Personal Spiritual Growth
Father, Help us to gladly assume our responsibility as spiritual watchmen. Release Your agape love in our hearts so that it will be a joy, not a burden.
Open our spiritual eyes and grant us wisdom and discernment, and empower us to watch and to pray and to be alert and ready.
Family Salvation
I confess, as for me and my household, we shall serve the Lord.
Father, let your salvation come to every person and the families of those attending the KSM service.
Financial Breakthrough
I delight myself in the word of the Lord; therefore, I am blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in my house, and my righteousness endures forever. (Psalm 112:1-3)
Father, let every chain of darkness holding the finances and possessions of the people attending the KSM service break in Jesus' name.
KSM Church
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that every person connected to the KSM Church would grow in word and prayer. Let them receive a fresh anointing of Your Spirit.
Country
Father, raise up leaders who are filled with Your Spirit and wisdom in every city and state of India.
Father, let Your Spirit move upon every city and state of India. In Jesus' name.
