Learn What Stops Your Transformation

Over the course of time, I have seen some key factors that work against change. These are the things that keep people from experiencing the blessing of life. These factors can be subtle, yet over the course of time, hinder many from going to the next level in our journey.

3. REBELLION
Rebellion says I don’t want to change.

I know I need to change, but I don’t want to change.

In scripture, rebellion is compared to the sin of witchcraft.

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. (1 Samuel 15:23)

Saul was the tallest and the most handsome man in Israel. And yet all these things did not matter. Saul entertained rebellion and lost his destiny. Don’t be another Saul. Deal with rebellion, and you will see those changes come to pass.

4. LAZINESS
Laziness says I don’t feel like changing

Change demands discipline. And some people feel it’s too much work to change. They are not ready to pay the price to rise above average. The great deception is you feel you are doing just fine.

Proverbs 6:9-11 describes a lazy person.

But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep?
When will you wake up?
A little extra sleep, a little more slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest—
then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.

5. IGNORANCE
Ignorance says, I never thought about changing. Ignorance is not an acceptable excuse to God.

Notice, the servant who was ignorant of his master’s will was also punished. He was not spared. (Luke 12:48) Ignorance is certainly not bliss in the Kingdom of God. Ignorance is the main reason why many of God’s people are perishing (Hosea 4:6)

Father, help me grow from the inside out so that circumstances begin to bow down to Your presence in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
