The Three Realms

Read the following scriptures very carefully:

Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?" And no one in Heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look at it. (Revelation 5:2-3)

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth (Philippians 2:10 KJV)

The above scripture reveals to us the three realms

1. Heaven
2. The Earth
3. The Underworld

Things in Heaven - refers to the spiritual realm where God's throne is located, also called the "third heaven" (2 Corinthians 12:2). This is the abode of God, the angels, and saints.

Things on the Earth - include humans, animals etc.

Things under the Earth (The Underworld or Hell) - include chambers where fallen angels are bound in chains of darkness while awaiting their day of judgment. (Read 2 Peter 2:4)

According to the New Testament, here lie the unrighteous souls and spirits of departed men and women.

After Lord Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, scripture says God (the Father) highly exalted Him to a position of honour at His right hand and gave Him a Name that is above every name (Read Ephesians 1:20; Philippians 2:9–11).

God (the Father) not only gave Jesus a Name that is above every name, but at the Name of Jesus, every being in all three worlds—Heaven, Earth, and the Underworld (Hell) —must bow and confess Jesus' lordship and dominion.

God also seated Lord Jesus in the highest position in the universe, at His Own right hand, and made Him head over all things (Read Ephesians 1:19–22).

This means that praying in the Name of Jesus is very powerful. When we pray in the Name of Jesus, we pray with His authority in all three realms. You and I don't need any other name - except the name of Jesus.
