It was just before the Passover Feast, Jesus knew that the time had come for Him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved His own who were in the world, He now showed them the full extent of His love. (John 13:1)
Let us enjoy every moment we get with our family members. Tomorrow, we may or may not have the privilege of such moments.
One day, a well-known Pastor was busy preparing his Sunday sermon. His little daughter quietly sneaked on him from behind and hugged him, "dada". The pastor gently scolded her, saying that he was too busy to spend time with her.
At this point, the pastor's wife gently reminded him that the love and affection that she was showering on him as a young girl would not be the same some years later. She advised him, to enjoy that moment. The Pastor having realized the truth and the intensity of that statement, immediately left his work aside and spent time with his little daughter.
I always keep reminding myself that many times "busy" is not equivalent to "beneficial". Mere activity does not equate accomplishment. Mere activity does not bring fruitfulness.
The moments that you get to spend with your family members are precious moments. They should not be wasted. Who knows, tomorrow we may not get them. When you are with your family (your wife, your children, your parents), don't get busy checking notifications on social media. Leave it for some other time. Studies show that a characteristic of strong families is the quality time they spend together.
Lord Jesus also knew how important it was to spend time with His apostles before He went to the cross. Let us make quality time for our family members and enjoy such moments together.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for my family members. Keep them as the apple of Your eye. Give me the grace to spend quality time with my family members. In Jesus' Name Amen.
