Praise
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)
The Bible says in Ezra 3:10-11, “When the builders laid the foundation of the Temple of the Lord…..then all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the Lord because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.
You may wonder why they did so. Only the foundations were laid. The Temple was still not built. They still had a long way to go. And yet they started praising God even before the Temple could be built? There are some rich hidden secrets that I want you to see.
Praise is an Act of Faith
It says, “Lord, what You start, I believe You can and will finish. Thank You for giving me Your plan because Your plan always prevails.” When you have just ventured into something new, doubts begin to attack your mind. “Will this thing succeed?” At such times, begin to praise the Lord, thank Him for the small beginnings. You will see more incredible things.
Praise Strengthens You
Nehemiah told his workers, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10). If you lose your joy, you lose your strength. If you lose your strength, you lose your power to overcome your enemy. If you lose your power to overcome your enemy, you are defeated. Bible says, ”Abraham did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4;20)
Praise Changes Your Environment
Imagine mud, stone and cement and a partially built structure, and in the midst of it, people shouting the praises of God. When you praise God, your problems may not seem to change, but your outlook sure does change. Simply stated, when you praise God in the early stages, you work better, and the job gets done quicker and faster Your faith is built up, and you know that God is with you in the work that you are doing.

Prayer
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever. With my mouth will I make known His faithfulness to all generations.
