Word of God
Because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they would become a desolation and a curse, and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you,” says the Lord. (2 Kings 22:19)
When King Josiah heard the word of God, he was convicted to the core and tore his clothes as a sign of repentance.
The Lord then spoke through the Prophetess Huldah. Notice the phrase: “When you heard what I spoke against this place”.
The interesting thing here is that Josiah did not see angels or hear any audible voice. He was just listening to the word being read aloud by Shaphan the scribe, and yet the Lord said, “when you heard what I spoke”
This tells me that whenever we are reading the word of God or listening to the word, it is the Lord directly speaking to us. We don’t need any special dramatics; it is the Lord Himself speaking, and we need to take note of this fact.
Furthermore, the Lord spoke through the Prophetess Huldah, saying, “when you tore your clothes and wept, I heard you.”
Again, the Bible does not record any special prayer made by Josiah. He wept and tore his clothes (a sign of deep repentance). All of us know that actions speak louder than words. This tells me that our actions based on the word of God cause the Lord to hear us.
Could it also be another reason why some people’s prayers go unanswered? They are all talk and no action. My definition of faith: An action based on the word of God.
My friend, if you need to see your prayers answered quickly, then I urge you to take action based on the word you hear.
For example, you need deliverance.
James 4: 7 says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
If there has been no submission to the word of God, the devil will not flee. But when you submit (an action), the devil has no option but to take a one-way ticket out of your life.

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I declare I am who the Bible says I am, I can do what the Bible says I can do, and I will have what the Bible says I can have.
Father, in the name of Jesus, I declare that I walk by faith, not by sight. Amen
