Fasting and Prayer
Do you want to see a change in your life or in that disturbing issue troubling you and your loved ones?
It’s not that you are not praying but the solution lies in continuous fervent prayer, which always brings about serious change. Such type of praying is better accompanied by fasting.
Read the following verses carefully:
So Peter was kept in prison, but fervent prayer for him was persistently made to God by the church (assembly) (Acts 12:5 Amplified)
Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. (Luke 18:6-8 NKJV)
Again, notice the phrase ‘day and night’ – that continuous, fervent, and persistent prayer.
Many people want their pastor and leader to pray for them. Now there is nothing wrong with that. However, in the Kingdom, the Lord wants everyone to come to maturity. Everyone needs to work out his salvation with fear and trembling Philippians 2:12. And continuous fervent prayer is one of the ways of doing so. Someone said, “Answered prayer is possible if you don’t quit.”
Many people lose their victory just when they are about to enter into their victory. I encourage you not to give up on your case.
Sometimes it’s better to pray with a group of people for your breakthrough like the church did in the book of Acts. Hence as per the leading of the Holy Spirit, we have decided to have fasting and prayer on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
You can fast from 00:00Hrs to 14:00Hrs on these days. During this time of fasting, you can drink lots of water. After that you can have your normal meals. For those who are mature, you can extend your fasting till 15:00Hrs and so forth.
Prayer
Father, uproot every power of stagnancy from my life. Let Your Spirit move upon every area of my life and bring forth changes that will glorify You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
