"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
Life often feels like a labyrinth of challenges, a maze of people and situations that whisper, "Give up. Your dreams are impractical or unrealistic." And sadly, too many have heeded this condemning counsel, abandoning the dreams that once made their hearts soar.
But let's take a pause today and remember: Dreaming is not a mere whimsy—it's a divine endowment, a fragment of the Creator's own imagination instilled within us. Animals don't dream of the future; plants don’t visualise a life beyond the soil. It's a gift exclusive to human beings, carved in the image of God.
I believe the Lord is saying to you, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5)
That's right. God dreamed of you. Imagine that! The Creator of the universe envisioned you, equipped with unique gifts and the potential for greatness. You are not a cosmic accident; you are a divine intention. If you feel like your ability to dream has waned, it's time to reconnect with the One who instilled this magnificent quality in you.
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." (Psalm 139:13-16)
Let's go a step further: If God can dream, and He has dreamed of you, what's stopping you from dreaming? Your dreams aren't just ordinary clouds of smoke and dirt blown by the wind; they're possible realities waiting for the touch of faith and hard work.
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us." (Ephesians 3:20)
Maybe you've been told you're too young, too old, too inexperienced, too 'something' to achieve your dreams. But God specialises in using the least likely candidates to fulfil His purposes. Moses stuttered, yet he led a nation. David was a shepherd boy who became a king. Mary was a humble teenager who became the mother of Jesus. It's not about your capabilities; it's about His capacity to work through you.
So, every morning, you're presented with two options: continue to slumber within the comfort of your dreams or wake up and bring them to life. Do not just be a daydreamer; become a day-doer. Your dreams, after all, are not just for you; they’re for the people whose lives you will touch, the problems you will solve, and the atmosphere you will create. Your dreams are the vehicles through which God intends to manifest His kingdom here on earth.
Practical Steps to Make Your Dream a Reality:
1. Reconnect with the Dream Giver: Spend time in prayer and in God’s Word. Ask Him to revive dreams you’ve let die or reveal new dreams to you.
2. Write it Down: Habakkuk 2:2 says to write the vision and make it plain. Document your dreams, however unattainable they may seem.
3. Step out in Faith: Every dream requires action. Take a small step today that aligns with your dream.
God Believes in Your Dreams—Now it’s Your turn to Believe too. Amen.

Heavenly Father, ignite our hearts with divine dreams that we may be fearless co-creators in Your grand design. Empower us, Lord, to step into our destinies, touching lives and manifesting Your kingdom on earth. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
