Rapture
The Bible does not specify the exact time of the rapture.
"But of that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (Mark 13:32)
There is no debate about whether a rapture will occur; the Bible clearly affirms it. As for the timing of the rapture, it remains unknown. Jesus emphasizes this in Luke: "You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect" (Luke 12:40).
In Matthew 24:6-7, Jesus described various signs to anticipate His return:
"And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but don't panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won't follow immediately. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places." (Matthew 24:6-7)
Observing our current times, it seems these signs are prevalent, suggesting that the Lord's coming may be near.
The Bible also hints at the potential season of the rapture in relation to the feasts of the Lord:
"These are the appointed festivals of the Lord, holy convocations that you shall proclaim at their appointed times." (Leviticus 23:4)
The seven feasts of the Lord are:
The Passover
The Feast of Unleavened Bread
The Feast of Firstfruits
The Feast of Weeks (Pentecost)
The Feast of Trumpets
The Day of Atonement
The Feast of Tabernacles
The first four feasts have been fulfilled by Jesus Christ:
The sacrifice of Jesus as the Lamb of God on the Passover
The burial of Jesus during the Feast of Unleavened Bread
The resurrection of Jesus on the Feast of Firstfruits
The descent of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost
Remarkably, Jesus's sacrifice, burial, resurrection, and the coming of the Holy Spirit all occurred on the precise days these feasts were celebrated.
Now, three feasts remain unfulfilled:
The Feast of Trumpets
The Day of Atonement
The Feast of Tabernacles
The Feast of Trumpets is traditionally associated with the blowing of the shofar, which Bible scholars have long linked with the rapture of the church.
The Apostle Paul wrote:
"Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed." (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)
Each year, as the Feast of Trumpets approaches, anticipation grows among those who observe it. We may not know the exact timing of the rapture, but one thing is certain: it will occur on the day of the Feast of Trumpets. Our duty is to remain vigilant and prepared.
