BREAKING THE FORCE OF BARRENNESS
"Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death." (2 Samuel 6:23)
Michal is a good example to reflect and reveal that people can die without having children. It is unfortunate for a person to come to this earth and die without a child. That is not the will of God for His children. After God created man, the first blessing God released was fruitfulness. He said, "Be fruitful," so we can see that fruitfulness is important to God. It is something that God is genuinely concerned about, and it was the first blessing that God gave to man. Whatever is attacking your fruitfulness is satanic and must be dealt with in the place of prayer.
Fruitfulness is not limited to money or childbearing. It is something that cuts across different areas of life. Fruitfulness can relate to productivity. So, when we talk about barrenness, it is not only when you cannot give birth; it can mean anything. It can mean productivity, lack of results, or failure.
In Genesis 49:22 it says, "Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a well; His branches run over the wall."
Joseph is portrayed in this verse as a fruitful bough, meaning that some people are blessed and fruitful. Wherever Joseph finds himself, he is always productive and successful because, in the spiritual realm, he is a fruitful bough.
There are some people that whatever they touch dries up. If they start a business, it fails. Whatever they do keeps failing. It is not the will of God for them, and they must stop that spirit of barrenness that is causing failure in their lives. That is why we are going to pray today in order to stop that curse.
"I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit."
God expects that we should be fruitful. We are like trees, and God expects us to be fruitful in all areas of our lives. That is why the words "fruit," "branches," and "vine" are used because Christ was trying to give us a better understanding that fruitfulness is not limited to childbearing. Fruitfulness has to do with impact, results, productivity, and success. So, God expects you to succeed, and He says every branch in Him that does not bear fruit will be taken away.
What are the areas that you need to be fruitful?
- You need to be fruitful in your marriage, in your family
- You need to be fruitful in the Church. What impact are you making in the church? Are you winning souls and preaching the gospel? Are you expanding the kingdom of God on earth, or are you passive about the kingdom of God?
- You need to be fruitful in the workplace, and your business. You are not in business just for what you will eat; you are in business to solve the problems of society. These are the three major ways that God is expecting us to be fruitful.
When a man is experiencing barrenness, his impact will not be felt. When they leave, nobody knows they have left. Their impact is not felt; nobody misses them. Nobody knows about them, and they are not impacting anybody's life.
Barrenness brings about the stagnation of destiny. Destinies are stagnated when this force of barrenness is at work. Barrenness brings shame, so when you see somebody who is not productive, he is ashamed. His head is bowed; he has low self-esteem because, by default, when we were created, God created us to be progressive.
So, anybody who is not going forward is going backwards because barrenness makes a man stay in one spot, and life forbids stagnation.
The Word of God says that the Lord will increase you more and more (Psalm 115:14), so you must keep increasing. Barrenness is a curse; it is not meant for a child of God. But if the child of God does not rise to break that force of barrenness, it can operate in his life by permission.
Today, I decree over your life every force of barrenness is broken from your life in the name of Jesus Christ.
Prayer
Repeat every prayer missile till it comes from your heart. Only then move on to the next prayer missile. (Repeat it, personalise it, do this with each prayer point for a minimum 1 minute)
1. I break every force of barrenness working against my life in the name of Jesus Christ. (Galatians 3:13)
2. Every power blocking me and stopping me from going forward, be destroyed and dismantled in the name of Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 54:17)
3. Every satanic standing order that has limited my growth, rising, and breakthrough in the name of Jesus and by the blood of Jesus, I terminate those standing orders in Jesus' name. (2 Corinthians 10:4)
4. By the blood of Jesus and by the spirit of grace, I rise beyond this level in Jesus' name. (Hebrews 4:16)
5. O Lord, empower me to go forward in the name of Jesus Christ. (Exodus 14:15)
6. Father, bring me out from every place where I have been stuck, from every pit in the name of Jesus and take me into my wealthy place in Jesus' name. (Psalm 40:2)
7. Father, send help to me, send men to me, people that will lift me in Jesus' name. (Psalm 121:1-2)
8. Oh Lord, I pray that new opportunities will come my way. I pray that blessings will open up for me in the heavens and pour down as rain upon me in Jesus' name. (Malachi 3:10)
9. Every spirit of stagnation and limitation, I break you in my life in the name of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 4:13)
10. Every power destroying and attacking the works of my hands, in the name of Jesus, come to an end today and be destroyed in Jesus' name. Amen. (Deuteronomy 28:12)
