And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. (John 1:16-18)
When Christy left India to attend college in the US, he drifted away from the ‘bondage’ of his Christian upbringing for the so-called newfound freedom of the world’s values. Growing up in a small town in Goa, Christy and his family attended church regularly. He was actively involved in the church choir and would lead worship. But now, all that had faded away with him attending college in Florida, USA. Every desire for God seemed so far away.
In his testimony, he said, “I would often feel these nudges, almost whispers in my heart to go back to the Lord, go back to church to start all over.” What was that? It was the hands of grace reaching out to Christy!
So, in obedience to the nudges, he made up his mind that the first thing he would do when he arrived at college after his short-term vacation would be to find a church. He said, “I remember hanging out with some fellow graduate students where the conversation turned to mock those who believe in God…and I felt torn to my very core. The world was trying to convince me that I couldn’t be both a man of faith and a graduate student in a scientific field.”
But then, Christy felt he had to resolve this inner conflict by submitting to the loving hands of faith. Today, Christy is a junior scientist in training working at one of the foremost agencies involved in space research. He also uses material developed by a local Church to lead a young adult Bible study and a study for high school students. He also volunteers for an organization whose purpose is to mentor youth.
The life of Christy is proof that God will always work out ways by which we can remain in His grace. It doesn’t matter if we made some wrong turns at some point; He gives grace upon grace till we come into the realities of His love.
No matter what you have done or been through, God will not stop reaching out to you; He gives grace upon grace for salvation, for deliverance, for a breakthrough, and spiritual blessings. The only condition is have you received His grace?
Know this that God will not watch on in the bye-stands while you struggle on with your life. Rather, He will reveal His grace to you that you might receive help and grace to overcome and meander through your breaking points. As you go out today, be deliberate in your quest for and pursuit of God’s grace. Know that His grace is what is needed at all times, and in all situations. If you plan to live the life that He has ordained for you, you need grace upon grace!

Lord, help me to fully depend on Your grace, O Lord! Your grace is enough for my life. In Jesus’ name.
