The fruit of their thoughts (Jeremiah 6:19)
God is concerned much about our thoughts.
One of the main reasons is because behind everything we do is a thought — for good or for evil.
#1:Thoughts Control Our Lives
“Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts” (Proverbs 4:23 GNT)
When you were a little child or a young person, someone repeatedly called you a failure, a good for nothing. If you accepted that thought, even though it was wrong, it shaped your life.
#2:Our Minds are the real Battlefield
Someone rightly said, “The Christian life is not a playground but a battleground.”
This battleground is not in some nations but right inside our minds. Many are mentally fatigued and frustrated, on the verge of giving up primarily because they are going through an intense mental battle. Your mind is the greatest asset, and satan wants your greatest asset!
Notice, Lord Jesus listed evil thoughts as the first things that proceed from the heart of men, which defile a person.
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.” (Mark 7:21-23)
#3:Your Mind is the Key to Peace
You will keep in perfect peace all whose thoughts are fixed on you! (Isaiah 26:3)
Notice perfect peace is a reality when our thoughts are fixed on Him instead of our circumstances. You can fix your mind on Him through prayer and worship.
Also, to win the mind battle, Fill your mind with the things that please God. This is why it is so important to read and meditate on the word. Someone asked me how many chapters should I read daily? When there is good food around, most of us like to eat till we feel satisfied. That is how you must go about with the word of God also. Read till you get that feeling of satisfaction in the spirit.
Begin today itself by committing your whole life — including your mind — to Jesus Christ. You will walk in victory.

Confession
I cover my thoughts with the Blood of Jesus. Every power trying to introduce evil thoughts, I bind you in the name of Jesus. Any power, trying to defile me be consumed by fire in the name of Jesus. I will meditate on the word of God daily. I will allow the word to fill my mind. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
