Your words were found, and I ate them,
And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart;
For I am called by Your name,
O Lord God of hosts. (Jeremiah 15:16)
Eating is the way to grow. Eating suggests the word was assimilated into Jeremiah’s spirit man. So it should be with us also.
If you take out the precious from the vile,
You shall be as My mouth. (Jeremiah 15:19)
There are things that are vile to God but which some people consider precious. And there are things that are precious to God but which people consider vile.
It is only when a person truly understands the distinction between what is precious and vile in the eyes of God, it is then that God makes him His mouthpiece.
3 “And I will appoint over them four forms of destruction,” says the Lord: “the sword to slay, the dogs to drag, the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy. 4 I will hand them over to trouble, to all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for what he did in Jerusalem. (Jeremiah 15:3-4)
A curse causeless shall not come. (Proverbs 26:2)
There is a reason for the problem in your life. There is a reason for that destruction, that loss in your life.
It was because of Manasseh that four types of destruction came upon God’s people. Manasseh opened the door for destruction to come upon them. Who is the Manasseh that is operating in your life, your family, your business, your ministry etc? Get rid of that Manasseh today.
I did not sit in the assembly of the mockers,
Nor did I rejoice;
I sat alone because of Your hand (Jeremiah 15:17)
Everything that you would ever desire in this world that has any kind of value will cost you a high price. Even so, with God’s presence. There is a price to pay for carrying the presence of God. Notice, Jeremiah sat alone because of the hand of the Lord upon his life. Hand of the Lord is a reference to the presence of God.
Let them return to you,
But you must not return to them. (Jeremiah 15:19)
The Lord is telling Jeremiah that he should not compromise.
