Promises of God
Word of God
For all the promises of God in Him (Christ) are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. (2 Corinthians 1:20)
Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In Him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God's Yes and our yes together, gloriously evident. (2 Corinthians 1:20 MSG)
There was a great man of God who always used to say, "If God said it, I believe it, and that settles it." Circumstances may suggest otherwise, but as we look at this verse, we see how true the above scriptures are. If God said something in His Word, we can count it as truth and as a "yes" answer.
Have you seen TV Commercials that promise you great deals? However, at the end of the commercial comes another voice that says something so fast that you can hardly understand. That, my friend, is called a disclaimer telling you about the terms and conditions involved. There is no one on the face of this Earth who can promise and guarantee without failure except the LORD.
Now, there are times when we ask for things that are outside of His Word, but God, our Father, does not answer those prayers. The prayers that He answers are those that line up with His Word. His Word has been given to us, and His Word cannot fail. God's Word will not return to Him void, but it will accomplish that which it has been sent to do. (Read Isaiah 55:11)
Doing things God's way—partnering with Him—guarantees a return in your life and in the lives of those around you.
God has put within His Word the answer to every need that we will have as we walk this life. Whenever you face a situation, go to the bible and lookup for a promise that you can stand on. Your answer will come.
Confession
From now on, I make a decision to believe in all the promises of God. O LORD, strengthen me to hold on to Your Word no matter what my mind says or what the people around me say. In Jesus' name. Amen.
