Also he (Jacob) made him (Joseph) a tunic of many colors (Genesis 37:3)
The coat of many colours speaks of the anointing. The anointing is multi-dimensional
Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more. So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.” (Genesis 37:5-7)
Joseph had spiritual pride. Even today, the first and worst cause of errors that abound in our day and age is spiritual pride. This is the main door by which the devil comes into the hearts of those who are zealous for the advancement of Christ. Pride is much more difficult to be discerned than any other corruption because of its very nature.
Come therefore, let us now kill him and cast him into some pit; and we shall say, ‘Some wild beast has devoured him.’ We shall see what will become of his dreams!” (Genesis 37:20)
satan will always try to kill your God given dream. However, the truth is, If you have a God dream inside of you, you cannot be killed.
Another practical advice is that you must never share your dreams with the people who don't like you.
So it came to pass, when Joseph had come to his brothers, that they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the tunic of many colors that was on him. Then they took him and cast him into a pit. And the pit was empty; there was no water in it. (Genesis 37:23-24)
Before Joseph could land in the pit, he was stripped off his coat of many colours. Even so before a person can land in the pit, the enemy will try and strip him off the anointing.
