Don’t Be a Lone Wolf—You Need a Team!

2 207
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.”— Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 (NKJV)

Lone Wolves Get Attacked
Some people say,
“I belong to the Universal Church.”
Yet they never belong to a local church, a team, or a group of believers. All they say is:
“Pray for me! Pray for me!”

Listen carefully:
If you are not part of a team, you are opening yourself up to spiritual attacks. The devil loves isolation—he prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). And who does the lion target? The one who’s drifted away from the pack.

“And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.”— Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NASB)

Being part of a team isn't just a suggestion—it’s a spiritual safeguard.

Even in Business—Work in a Team
Let’s go to the New Testament.

“We are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.”— 1 Corinthians 3:9 (NIV)

Businessmen and businesswomen—listen carefully!
Look at someone and say:
“Dear businessman, dear businesswoman—work in a team!”

Let me share an acronym with you:
T.E.A.M. → Together Everyone Achieves More.

God blesses unity. Whether it's the body of Christ or your workplace—God honors synergy.
  • You don’t have to do it all alone.
  • You don’t have to wear all the hats.
  • You need a team.
“Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.”— Proverbs 11:14 (ESV)

Say it with me: “I receive it!” Hallelujah!

The Power of Teamwork
Now, look at someone and ask them honestly:
“You don’t have a team?”

Some of you want to start a business. You want to launch a ministry. That’s great—but where is your team?

You say, “Pastor, I cannot afford a team.”
But here’s the truth: You must develop a team.

God said to Joshua:
“Take for yourselves twelve men from the people, one man from every tribe.”— Joshua 4:2 (NKJV)

Why didn’t God say, “Take three or four random men”? Because God works through intentional teams. Twelve men from twelve tribes—representing order, diversity, and unity.

Dear leader, who is your team?

Look at someone and say: “Develop your team!”

Because that’s how:
✔️ God will expand your business.
✔️ God will expand your calling.
✔️ God will help you grow.

Otherwise, you’ll remain stuck—working alone, burning out, and capping your potential.

One of our brothers recently said:
“Pastor, I came for a Bible teaching—but I’m getting business ideas now!”
Praise God! That’s how the Word works—it breathes into every area of your life!

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.”— Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)

If you want to start something big—don’t do it alone.

If you can’t build a team, then join one.
Team dynamics matter.
Unity brings covering, accountability, strategy, and grace.

“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” — Proverbs 27:17 (ESV)

So don’t isolate yourself. Plug into what God is building!

You Win Because You’re in a Team
Let’s bring it home with this:
You win the tug-of-war because you are in a team.

Try pulling that rope alone and you know what will happen?
Your pants will tear! 😂

Come on, somebody!

I say we do this at Karuna Sadan—let’s organize a real tug-of-war!
Malcolm, you’re the man for it!
Let’s get that rope today!

Why? Because it’s a physical picture of a spiritual truth: You win when you’re connected.

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”— Galatians 6:2 (NKJV)

We were never meant to walk alone. Jesus didn’t choose one disciple—He chose twelve. He sent them two-by-two. Even God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—is a perfect team.

Final Takeaway
So whether you’re leading a ministry, managing a home, running a business, or serving in church—don’t go solo.

✅ Develop a team.
✅ Be part of a team.
✅ Stay submitted to God’s divine structure.

Because together, we don’t just survive—we thrive.
Together, we don’t just achieve—we multiply.

Don’t be a lone wolf.
Be part of God’s pack.
There is power in team.
