“And command them, saying, ‘Take for yourselves twelve stones from here, out of the midst of the Jordan, from the place where the priests’ feet stood firm.’”— Joshua 4:3 (NKJV)
God said, “Command them!”
Not suggest. Not negotiate. Command!
There are some instructions in life that don’t require your opinion—they require your obedience.
The Power of Obedience
God told Joshua to take twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan—from the very place where the priests’ feet stood firm. Why?
Because a miracle had just occurred—and it was not to be forgotten.
“The waters which came down from upstream stood still… and rose in a heap… Then the people crossed over.”— Joshua 3:16 (NKJV)
Let’s pause here for a second—the Jordan is not a basketball player! 😄
Some of you are thinking, “Oh, Jordan? Michael Jordan?”
No! This is a real river, and here’s what happened:
When the priests carrying the Ark stepped into the waters, the river stopped. The Bible says the waters stood like a wall, and the people crossed on dry ground.
“And the priests… stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan until all the nation had finished crossing.”— Joshua 3:17 (NASB)
This was a divine moment.
Why did God perform this miracle?
Because the people were at a critical juncture.
Moses was gone. A new leader had emerged. And doubts were rising: “Moses was powerful… but what now?”
And God answered loud and clear: “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you.”— Joshua 3:7 (NKJV)
The Mantle Is Real
Sometimes, the same miracles that your mentor does—God will start doing through you.
You say, “Oh wow! I’m getting words of knowledge now!”
“I prayed and healing flowed!”
But wait! Before you start thinking, “Maybe I’m better than my pastor!”—STOP!
This is not a competition—it’s a mantle!
“The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.”— 2 Kings 2:15 (NKJV)
When you walk under covering, when you serve in humility, when you learn by observation and prayer—the same anointing flows.
That’s called discipleship.
I remember watching my mentor closely. I’d take mental notes and say, “Okay, okay, okay…” And one day, I stepped out—and it worked. Why? Because the anointing flows through alignment.
Look at someone and say:
“It’s not one-upmanship—it’s spiritual inheritance!”
You Need a Covering
You must be under authority to walk in authority.
“Obey those who rule over you… for they watch out for your souls.”— Hebrews 13:17 (NKJV)
Say this aloud: “I’m in the team now!”
Yes, you are! You need a team. Lone wolves get attacked—spiritually and emotionally. Even Jesus had a team.
A Shoutout to Discipline
Now let me encourage someone—Ronald!
Yes, you! I’ve seen your disciplined routine, even on Instagram. Consistency attracts favor.
“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much.”— Luke 16:10 (NKJV)
Some of us have no routine. One day we’re praying, next day sleeping. Let’s bring order—God loves order!
Why Carry the Stones?
Let’s return to Joshua.
God told them to carry the stones to their camp. But why?
God is not into idols—so what’s the point of carrying rocks?
Here’s the revelation:
It was the priests, the intercessors, who stood in the river. Their obedience made way for others to pass.
Those stones were a memorial of intercession.
“These stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.”— Joshua 4:7 (NKJV)
Write this down: Intercessors make a way for others to cross over.
Because of one intercessor, many enter their calling.
“I sought for a man among them who would stand in the gap…”— Ezekiel 22:30 (NKJV)
May you become that intercessor!
Let me say this boldly: A non-interceding church is a lazy church.
Wherever you are—Konkani service, Tamil, English—intercession is the key.

Don’t Waste Your Time
Some of you ask: “Pastor, are you against Korean dramas?”
Let me clarify: I’m against anything that wastes your time!
Whether it’s Hindi drama, English drama, or a random Netflix series—if it’s draining your mind and wasting your hours, it’s not worth it.
Instead:
- Watch a YouTube video on finances.
- Learn how to manage your money.
- Learn how to grow your business.
- Sharpen your gifts.
- Don’t just spend your time—invest it.
“Redeem the time, because the days are evil.”— Ephesians 5:16 (NKJV)
Say it with me: “Praise the Lord! I will invest my time wisely!”
