“So the people crossed over opposite Jericho. Then the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, and all Israel crossed over on dry ground…” — Joshua 3:16–17 (NKJV)
If there’s an intercessor in your house—if someone is standing in the gap—let me tell you, many will cross over their Jordan because of that one person!
Your prayers can cause others to walk into their destiny with ease.
Your faithfulness can open doors your family never thought possible.
- Let this word stir your heart:
- Daddy, become an intercessor.
- Mama, become an intercessor.
- Children, don’t wait—start now.
- Grandfathers and grandmothers, take up the mantle of prayer!
Don't say, “Let the young people intercede.” No, you rise up!
“So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me… but I found no one.”— Ezekiel 22:30 (NKJV)
Let that never be said of our generation.
Let God find YOU standing in the gap!
Somebody lift your hand and shout, “Amen!”
God Is Calling You to Stand in the Gap
You might be reading this and saying:
“I feel so alone. Nobody prays for me.”
Here’s a word from the Holy Spirit for you:
Become an intercessor, and God will honor you.
Don’t just live life binge-watching shows and scrolling endlessly. Instead, start writing down your prayer points. Say:
“Father, I pray for this need.
I pray for Pastor Michael.
I pray for my church…”
Simple prayers carry great power when released in faith.
“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”— James 5:16 (NKJV)
Someone reading this needs to hear it: Pray for me! 😄
Even if you don’t like me, just pray for me anyway!
Sometimes when you start praying for someone, you begin to love them. Prayer melts bitterness and restores unity.
Say it out loud: “Father, I pray for the youth in Karuna Sadan Ministries. Turn their hearts toward You!”
Write it down. Declare it daily. You’ll start seeing young people saved, transformed, and on fire for God!
You Are Not a Ritual Priest—You Are a Royal Priest!
In the Old Testament, priests performed rituals—yipping here, whooping there—going through religious motions.
But you? You are called to something greater!
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…”— 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)
Say it boldly: “I am a royal priest!”
A royal priest doesn’t just attend meetings—they shift atmospheres through intercession.
Remember Moses? One man stood in the gap for Israel—and God relented.
“Then Moses pleaded with the Lord… So the Lord relented from the harm…”— Exodus 32:11–14 (NKJV)
One intercessor moved the heart of God.
You, too, can change the course of a family, a city—even a nation!
Make this your lifestyle: “Lord, I stand in the gap for my people.”
Anna the Prophetess: A Life of Hidden Glory
Let’s talk about Anna the prophetess.
“And this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years… who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.”
— Luke 2:37 (NKJV)
Anna spent her life interceding in the temple. She was not preaching on stages or trending on social media—but God saw her.
And because of her intercession, God honored her. She held baby Jesus in her arms!
- Can you imagine?
- She saw the eyes of God.
- She beheld the lips of God.
- She cradled the Creator in her arms!
- What glory must have surrounded her?
Anna must have thought, “It was worth it all!” All those years of fasting, praying, and waiting—it led to one glorious moment.
Let me tell you something: Sometimes, God isolates you so He can entrust you.
You may feel lonely. Forgotten. Hidden. But in that place, God is raising you up as an intercessor.
“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place…”— Matthew 6:6 (NKJV)
Intercession Leaves a Legacy
Intercessors don’t live for applause—they live for impact. They know:
- Their prayers keep the family protected.
- Their prayers unlock blessings for others.
- Their prayers call down fire from heaven!
- You might never stand behind a pulpit—but when you stand in the gap, Heaven stands behind you!
“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”— Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV)
So whether you are a student, homemaker, grandfather, or entrepreneur—become an intercessor.
Pick Up the Mantle
Don’t wait for someone else to pray.
Pick up the mantle.
Be the one in your family who builds an altar.
Be the one who sets your alarm early to intercede.
Be the one who whispers, “Jesus, move in my church.”
“Pray without ceasing.”— 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NKJV)
And watch as God begins to move—healing the broken, restoring the lost, and honoring your prayers.
You are not powerless. You are a royal priest.
You carry power in your words, and glory in your prayers.
Let’s rise. Let’s intercede.
Let’s see a generation cross their Jordan because you stood in the gap.
