The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:33, "God is not the author of confusion but of peace." What is confusion? Confusion is nothing but the lack of divine order. Today many homes, many families, organizations, businesses, churches and prayer groups are attacked by the spirit of confusion, strife and division.
What is the reason for such a mess?
The only reason is the absence of the divine order of things. All around, you see people with so much stress and frustration. Again, the reason is the lack of divine order in their lives.
In those days, Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, "Thus says the LORD: 'Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.'" (Isaiah 38:1)
God told King Hezekiah that his household was not in order, and that was the reason he would not live but die. People of God, when our lives are not set according to the divine pattern (God's will), we will see only death and defeat everywhere. Allow me to explain.
Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, [The Hellenists were Jews who spoke Greek] because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. (Acts 6:1)
In the early church, there arose a problem in the daily distribution of food which caused great confusion and strife. The apostles, led by the Spirit of God, appointed seven men to oversee the work, and they continued to devote themselves to prayer and the Word.
Acts 6:7 says, "Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith."
Of course, there were several other factors involved that resulted in the growth of the church in Jerusalem. But undeniably, setting things in order resulted in the growth of the church.
Work on your priorities. There will be divine order flowing in every area of your life.
