Your words may well be the trap that snares you, and your promise may seal your fate. (Proverbs 6:2 Voice)
Words can limit your potential, so be very careful with your words.
Is self-deliverance possible?
So do this, my son, and deliver yourself (Proverbs 6:3, 5)
Who do these verses say should conduct the deliverance?
You!
Shake yourself from the dust, arise;
Sit down, O Jerusalem!
Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck,
O captive daughter of Zion! (Isaiah 52:2)
One of the major keys to self-deliverance is to change your habits and your words to agree with your prayers and fasting.
When is self-deliverance recommended?
Sometimes, there may not be an anointed minister around who is knowledgeable about deliverance to help you.
A word of caution:
Self-deliverance must not be done because of pride, shyness, the fear of possible public embarrassment, etc. Your motive for engaging in self-deliverance has to be pure in the eyes of the Lord.
Warning to non-believers: According to Matthew 15:22-28, deliverance is only for believers, and it is not appropriate for unbelievers (those who are outside the covenant). If you are not a Christian, I wouldn’t even attempt a deliverance, because it’s like stirring up a hornet’s nest. First accept Jesus, then seek deliverance. This way, you can prevent the demons from returning with several more even worse evil spirits as Jesus warns in Matthew 12:43-45.
If you are not a believer, I wouldn’t even try to cast a demon out of anybody; as we can see in Acts 19:13-16, it’s not wise to cast demons out if you are not a child of God! They did not have authority in Jesus because they were unbelievers and 7 men got thrown out of the house naked and beaten by the demon. As you can see, it’s not wise or safe to attempt a deliverance without Jesus in your life!
4 Lessons We Can Learn From The Ant
Go to the ant (Proverbs 6:6)
The ant is a busy insect. Small in size, yet intelligent in its capacity to utilise its time, talents and resources. Here are some essential qualities of ants that we can consider and be wise.
#1:
Which, having no captain,
Overseer or ruler, (Proverbs 6:7)
No one has to yell at them to get moving, to complete their jobs, or to collaborate; they know the job and get it done.
#2:
Provides her supplies in the summer,
And gathers her food in the harvest. (Proverbs 6:8)
Ants demonstrate strategic planning and organisational abilities that are second to none. They store their food during times of abundance so that they will have sufficient supplies in times of scarcity. They also plan seasons of work and rest to avoid burnout and exhaustion.
#3:
Ants are diligent and hardworking. Laziness does nothing but encourages us to procrastinate and remain in a state of lack and apathy. Ants are never lazy! Neither are they poor nor hungry! Their efforts and hard work are what keep them going! A similar commitment to being diligent and working hard will result in our lives being blessed physically, spiritually, and monetarily as well!
#4:
Ants know that they can accomplish more by working together as a team in unity than by working alone. They set goals and work together to achieve them.
If you truly have a desire to learn and go to the next level, God has put enough lessons around us to learn from. We just need to be observant. “You shall know the truth, and the truth that you know shall set you free.” (John 8:32)
