But He (Jesus) answered them, Do you see all these? Truly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down. (Matthew 24:2)
Lord Jesus prophetically told the disciples, what was going to take place there in the future and when it was going to take place.
And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. (Matthew 24:4)
Deception can be avoided or else Jesus would not have said, "Take heed that no man deceive you." satan can only deceive those who allow him to do it. Ephesians 6:11 tells us to "put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Putting on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-18) will protect against the deception of the devil.
For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. (Matthew 24:5)
The way to recognize deception is not to analyze all the false claims but rather to become so familiar with what is genuine that a counterfeit will be easily recognizable. Anyone who is truly grounded in the Word of God will not be deceived.
“then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. (Matthew 24:16-17)
In the New Testament, Jesus warned the disciples that both Jerusalem and the Temple would be destroyed. History reveals that many Christians remembered these words of Jesus, and when the Romans surrounded Jerusalem for the first time in 66 A.D., many fled to Pella, in Jordan, where they were given asylum and protected. Of the people who remained in Jerusalem, hundreds of thousands died in the siege of the Holy City Those who escaped did so because they discerned the signs of the times and were obedient to the warnings given by Christ almost forty years before!
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. (Matthew 24:35)
The phrase "pass away" means "to change from one condition to another". The heavens and earth will change, but God's Word will never change. "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen" (2 Corinthians 1:20).
