Then it came to pass, at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh had a dream (Genesis 41:1)
God can also speak to unbelievers through a dream
God spoke to Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar - both were unbelievers
Now it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled (Genesis 41:8)
A dream can significantly alter your emotions especially when you have had a bad or negative dream.
Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon. But Joseph [first] shaved himself, changed his clothes, and made himself presentable; then he came into Pharaoh’s presence. (Genesis 41:14 Amplified)
For a Hebrew man, a beard meant everything; in spite of this he shaved
So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.” (Genesis 41:16)
Interpreting dreams is the Word of Wisdom in operation
Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven plentiful years. (Genesis 41:34)
one-fifth is 20%
This is a saving principle
“Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?” (Genesis 41:38)
The world will always recognize a man who is truly spirit filled
Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: “For God has made me forget all my toil and all my father’s house.” And the name of the second he called Ephraim: “For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.” (Genesis 41:51-52)
I believe the birth of his sons brought inner healing to Joseph
Then Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph; whatever he says to you, do.” (Genesis 41:55)
Sounds so much like Mary at the wedding of Cana (John 2)
