The natural order of things and the human body have been altered due to the fall of man. The original intention of the Creator for His creation has also been tampered with. Many homes have been broken due to barrenness. Many evils and atrocities have penetrated many homes due to barrenness.

Barrenness has turned a sweet and promising marriage into a bitter experience for many couples. They started as best friends, promised to live together till death separates them, but a few years later, the love became weak due to the inability to conceive. The man begins to consider alternatives; the woman also begins to live in depression, shame, and tears. It’s such a painful experience for couples. I pray that your long years of waiting are over in Jesus name.

Although there would be medical terms used to justify infertility in marriage, there is more to it than science. I need you to open your heart and ignore what many have told you. It is time to seek the power of God for a supernatural change in your story. You cannot believe men and claim to believe God at the same time. The report of men and the report of God are two contrary things.

Two people cannot work together or collaborate unless they are in agreement (Amos 3:3). Maybe you have been given reports such as “fibroid, no womb, low sperm count, etc”. Know that God can break the protocols for your sake. If after you have done all that is medically possible and yet no result, I am glad to announce the way out to you - the power of God.

A doctor’s prescription for treating infertility in marriage will only work if it is a physical issue preventing your child-bearing. However, most cases of infertility have some level of spiritual undertones. It may look natural, but the majority of cases relating to barrenness and infertility can be traced to demonic activities. A different approach must be taken in dealing with such situations.

Now please understand, I highly respect doctors and the medical field. Having said that, you can’t be dealing with a problem caused by a demon through supplements, medical and physical approach. If it’s spiritual, then a spiritual approach must be employed.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood…” (Ephesians 6:12)

God is not the author of barrenness; all that He created was beautiful and fruitful. It is very important that we understand the source of barrenness and also know the creator’s original intention. You were designed for fruitfulness, and may you come in contact with that light that will change your story as you read through the pages of this book in Jesus name.

The first blessing that God pronounced on mankind was “fruitfulness.” It was a double-faced decree meant to empower the human race.

Let us look at the beginning; it reveals the original intention of God.

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1:27-28)

When God made Adam and Eve, He told them to be fruitful and multiply. When God spoke those words “be fruitful and multiply” everything that was needed by man and woman to be fruitful and multiply was deposited in them.

The words that come out of the mouth of God are never in vain. They fulfil the purpose they were spoken for. Barrenness goes against the very first word that God spoke to man. It challenges the word of God. satan works overtime to make God look like a liar - which He is not.

“God is not a man, that He should lie,

Nor a son of man, that He should repent.

Has He said, and will He not do?

Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19)

What was in the mind of God when He said, “be fruitful?”

1. A Commanded Blessing

Fruitfulness is a blessing; barrenness is a curse. After creation, God had to release a blessing on creation. The blessing is what makes it possible to give birth and to increase. Without the blessing of fruitfulness, Adam and Eve would be barren, the fish, the animals, and everything would have been barren, with no ability to reproduce. The blessing empowered creation with the potential and ability to reproduce.

2. Fruitfulness as a Commanded Responsibility

Even though the word “be fruitful” is a blessing, it is also a commanded responsibility. It is a commandment that we are meant to obey. Those practising alternative lifestyles are walking contrary to the commanded responsibility. According to scripture, it’s a curse to walk in such a path.

God created man and woman and designed them to bear fruit, to give birth after their kind. The original intention of God is to fill the earth and rule over the rest of creation. Whatever contradicts the decree is an error, and it can only be corrected by the redeemed.

Many errors are operating under the sun, these errors were not programmed into creation in the beginning. Blessings and fruitfulness were pronounced upon man but the sin of Adam allowed the devil to alter many things. The curse of barrenness came into the world as a consequence of one man's sin.

When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)

When Adam and Eve fell into sin, God spoke to Eve in Genesis 3:16:

To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception;

In pain you shall bring forth children;

Your desire shall be for your husband,

And he shall rule over you.”

The word "sorrow" does not just mean the sorrow of labour during childbirth, but also that many women will weep with sorrow before conception.

God's Attitude Towards Barrenness

God is not the author of barrenness in any form, whether it be spiritual or natural. His attitude also reflects how He hates barrenness.

Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response, Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” And His disciples heard it.

Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.” (Mark 11:12-14, 20-21)

The attitude of Jesus towards the tree reveals the Father’s approach and hatred for barrenness. If you are experiencing a delay in childbearing, please understand this, God loves you, and He is not happy with the situation you are going through. He hates the barrenness that you are going through, but He loves you and wants you to come out of it. You have to hate what He hates, and also forcefully superimpose the divine prophetic agenda over your life and marriage.

Jesus cursed the tree because it was unfruitful, and the tree dried from the root. Bareness is a sign of unfruitfulness. You are meant to curse it not to talk about it. Whatever that is not functioning according to divine systems of protocol must be cursed. Stop being gentle; you need to be spiritually violent against the workings of the devil in your life (Matthew 11:12). Bareness must be cursed; you have to follow the approach of Christ and curse it from preventing your fruitfulness.

The root determines the fruit. When Christ cursed the tree, Peter called to remembrance that the tree dried up from the root as well. Christ was not only speaking to the tree but the root of the tree.

His roots are dried out below,

And his branch withers above. (Job 18:16)

The root is the ‘unseen’ part of the plant, and the branch is the ‘seen’.

It is when you deal with the unseen, the seen will be impacted powerfully.

Many focus their attention only on what may is seen - the obvious. However, scripture helps us see the importance of knowing origins, sources, and root causes in all areas of life.

Make forceful declarations against the spirit of barrenness by saying, “You spirit of bareness affecting my womb, my fertility, my fruitfulness and marriage, I curse you in the name of the Lord, die and dry up from the root in Jesus name.”

Stop crying; stop feeling that you are helpless. God is on your side. Start dealing with the unseen spirit of bareness. Everything has an ear and can ear. Don’t keep quiet, let your voice be heard, for therein lies your change of story.
