"Jacob, you did not pray to me. Israel, you became tired of me.” Isaiah 43:22-23 (Easy-to-Read Version)
There is nothing too hard and impossible for you when you pray, God can do all things that you ask or think. Prayer remains one of the potent weapons of attack against the wicked one.
In one of my books, I taught on strategic praying, intercession, and how to pray to get results. It is true that many are praying and are not getting results, the problem is not from God’s end, it is because they prayed amiss or don’t know how to go about praying effectively (James 4:1-3).
Abraham prayed for Abimelech and his household before the curse of barrenness could be removed from them. This is a clear indicator that the force of prayer can break barrenness. Abraham was a prophet, and the prophetic prayer of Abraham broke the yoke.
Hannah also became a mother because she prayed, and her prayer was backed up by a prophetic seal of Prophet Eli.
In case you are thinking that “ah! I don’t have or know any prophet.” The good news is that you can pray yourself into the prophetic. The prophetic realm is the realm where you speak forth things that be not as though they were. (Refer Romans 4:17) It is the realm where your prayer penetrates the heavenlies and prophecies are released.
Some mountains will never move except you pray; barrenness is one of those mountains that respects and responds to the force of prayer.
For your prayer to gain force and generate its desired effect, you must come to God with words, reminding God of His words.
“Put me in remembrance: let us plead together:…”(Isaiah 43:26)
“And there is no one who calls on Your name,
Who stirs himself up to take hold of You” (Isaiah 64:7)
For you to pray effectively, you must study effectively. God’s words are prophetic, and if you can take hold of one of them, you can use them as prophetic prayer. God wants you to put Him in remembrance of His words, for you to remind Him of His prophetic mandate over your life.
The prophetic agenda of God becomes your prophetic prayer; that is how you secure speedy answers in the place of prayer.
PRAYER SECRETS
Let me share with you the prayer secrets of Hannah and how her prayer attracted the attention of heaven.
She prayed with the whole of her being (spirit, soul, and body).
Here’s the breakdown:
- She spoke from her heart (the heart can also be referred to as the spirit). “…Now Hannah spoke in her heart…” (1 Samuel 1:13)
- She was in bitterness of soul and wept (her soul was also involved in the praying, the emotional side of the soul is what triggered weeping). “And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish.” (1 Samuel 1:10)
- Her lips moved, and she acted like a drunkard while praying (her body was actively involved in the praying). If her body were motionless, Eli would not have termed her as someone drunk. “Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk.” (1 Samuel 1:13)
Her Spirit, Soul, and body were employed in the prophetic prayer. Half-hearted prayer will not move heaven. Some are waiting for their pastor’s prayer; they keep going from one city to another in search of a powerful man of God that will break the yoke of bareness in their life. Why can’t you do it yourself? Are you not a child of God? The scripture was written for our learning; Hannah had to do it herself. If Prophet Eli had told Hannah to give her first son to the Lord, do you think she would easily agree? There is a realm; when you get there, that prayer becomes forceful and prophetic; God is waiting for you in that realm.
Settle down and do what it takes to secure a change of level. Spend quality time in the place of prayer; Hannah continued in prayer (See 1 Samuel 1:12); she was ready to stay and push until something happened.
“So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.” (1 Samuel 1:18) In the previous chapter, I shared about little foxes that spoil the vine. After the prophetic prayer and the vow, Hannah’s countenance was no more sad; she was happy and ate. She got the little fox causing bitterness of soul, sadness, and worry out of her mind. Her mental state changed; everything about her imagination changed. If she had permitted the little fox in her mind, she would have maintained a sad countenance, gone home without eating, and nothing would have changed.
These are biblical secrets and principles that I have just opened your eyes to, don’t just agree with it; engage and employ them in your situation; a change of story awaits you in Jesus name.
