The following are Messianic Prophecies (prophecies related to Christ). They were fulfilled in the life of Lord Jesus Christ.
Fierce witnesses rise up;
They ask me things that I do not know. (Psalm 35:11)
This was accurately fulfilled in Mark 14:55-61
55Now the chief priests and all the council sought testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none. 56For many bore false witness against Him, but their testimonies did not agree. 57Then some rose up and bore false witness against Him, saying, 58“We heard Him say, ‘I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.’ ” 59But not even then did their testimony agree. 60And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, saying, “Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You?” 61But He kept silent and answered nothing.
Let them not rejoice over me who are wrongfully my enemies;
Nor let them wink with the eye who hate me without a cause. (Psalm 35:19)
This was fulfilled in John 15:25
“But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.”
Let them shout for joy and be glad,
Who favor my righteous cause;
And let them say continually,
“Let the Lord be magnified
Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” (Psalm 35:27)
It is God's will that we prosper. Psalm 35:27 says that God takes "...pleasure in the prosperity of His servant." However, let me say this, “prosperity is more than money; it is the freedom to live a peaceful Christ-centered life”
If God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants, then how much more does He take pleasure in the prosperity of His sons and daughters? Under the New Covenant, we are no longer simply God's servants; we are His children - His sons and daughters.
As parents, we want to see our children do well and be abundantly blessed. It pains us to see our children struggle and go through tough times. So it shouldn't surprise us to find out that God feels the same way about us His children. We are certainly not better parents than He is!
