Unto You do I cry, O Lord my Rock, be not deaf and silent to me, lest, if You be silent to me, I become like those going down to the pit [the grave]. (Psalm 28:1)
What David was essentially saying was, “If God did not intervene in his situation, he would not live long.” He would no hope.
Because they do not regard the works of the Lord,
Nor the operation of His hands,
He shall destroy them
And not build them up. (Psalm 28:5)
Apostle Paul expressed the same idea in Romans 1:20-21
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
And with my song I will praise Him. (Psalm 28:7)
One of the ways to praise God is with a song
Remember, you are not only singing, you are also praising Him
