Because of the voice of the enemy (Psalm 55:3)

The enemy has a voice

The voice of the enemy can distract you from what you are called to do. On the other hand, the people who hear the voice of Jesus are able to follow Him.

The people who hear the voice of the enemy are often distracted. People who are distracted by the enemy often say words like, “He said that, she said that, they said that etc.”

For it is not an enemy who reproaches me; then I could bear it.

Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me;

Then I could hide from him.

But it was you, a man my equal,

My companion and my acquaintance.

We took sweet counsel together,

And walked to the house of God in the throng. (Psalm 55:12-14)

These words are a Messianic prophecy relating to the betrayal of Lord Jesus by Judas Iscariot.

Let death seize them;

Let them go down alive into hell, (Psalm 55:15)

This verse prophetically tells us the location of Hell. Notice the words, ‘Go down...into hell’

Psalm 63:9 literally tells us that those who are going into hell are literally going into the “lowest parts of the earth.”

Numbers 16:30 tells us that the earth literally opened up and swallowed them up alive who were rejecting the Lord. And from there it tells us they literally went down alive into the Pit.

I think it is very plain and clear that hell is a real place and that it is literally located right underneath our earth, and possibly close to the center of it.

Evening and morning and at noon

I will pray, and cry aloud,

And He shall hear my voice. (Psalm 55:17)

Daniel was thrown in the lion’s den for praying three times a day.

His words were softer than oil,

Yet they were drawn swords. (Psalm 55:21)

You don’t have to be loud and boisterous to be effective
